Run for Boston Memorial Event

April 22, 2013 - The tragedy of the bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013 shocked the world. It seemed the world was watching the aftermath of the tragedy unfold and so many people wanted to support Boston. One week after this tragedy, a gathering of runners united to remember the tragic day and show support for Boston by running 4.09 miles in Washington DC. Adam Siple hosted a Run for Boston Memorial Event to support Boston and those afffected by this tragedy with contributions to The One Fund (https://onefundboston.org/). Runners gathered at 6pm at the Renaissance Hotel in DC and after a moment of silence, the runners ran a route from the Renaissance Hotel and around the National Mall and ended up near the US Capitol. Afterward, everyone was invited to have dinner and drinks at the Presidential Sports Bar in the Renaissance Hotel with a portion of the proceeds going to The One Fund. Thanks to all those who helped put this event together and those who came out to run for Boston.

I've posted several pictures before the run and visit the online gallery to see the full set of images.
