Photoshop World DC 2012 - Day One (Saturday)

March 24, 2012 - The day had come for the first official day of Photoshop World (PSW) in DC and it was the largest in attendance on the East Coast for PSW. There was a lot of buzz about PSW and it seemed like the place to be for the weekend for photographers, designers and enthusiasts. The conference was held at the Washington Convention Center and those familiar with Kelby Training know that they have been holding seminars there for years.

Having PSW in DC there was a political theme to it, but PSW made it fun making the opening of the conference likened to a political campaign and rally. It was exciting to have the PSW experience in the nation's capital and this metropolitan area is becoming more and more popular as a destination spot.

Photoshop World DC 2012 - Preconference (Friday)

March 23, 2012 - It was pre-conference day for Photoshop World (PSW), so guests were able to register in advance to take part  in workshops before the PSW conference begins and maximize their PSW experience. The workshops were taught by Photoshop World instructors and taught on an array of subjects. Here are a few of my photos from this day.

Douglas Sonders & Corey Barker Action Shoot

March 22, 2012 - My photographer friend Douglas Sonders was asked to be part of the instructor team for Photoshop World (PSW) 2012 in Washington DC and he wanted to do a shoot with Corey Barker, another PSW instructor. This was to be an action shoot like being on a movie set and photographing scenes, and it was done the evening before PSW started. The location of the shoot was at Studio 52 thanks to another photographer friend Drew Xeron. It was a great location for the shoot.

We had actors and crew helping to set the scenes and capture the shoot. I was photographing the behind the scenes and here's a couple shots from the evening. You can see the image out of camera and the final image that Corey Barker worked on in this blog entry by Douglas Sonders. What a great evening and an exciting way to get pumped up for PSW.
