Fashion for Paws 2013

Saturday April 13, 2013 - Fashion for Paws is noted as one of the best events and fashion shows of the year in the DC area and for good reasons. More than seventy Washington DC area notables and their dogs modeled the season's hottest styles by the retailers of Tysons Galleria during the 7th Annual 2013 Fashion for Paws runway show at the National Building Museum. E! News Now anchor and E! News correspondent Ashlan Gorse hosted last year and returned again to host this event where the proceeds benefit the Washington Humane Society.

More than 1,700 guests attended the event, which raised nearly $700,000. Special guests Congressmen Jim Moran (D-Virginia) and John Campbell (R-California) attended the event and received the 2013 Humane Hero Award which recognizes individuals who have displayed a passion for animal welfare. The human models each raised at least $5,000 to be able to walk the runway with canines dressed by Wagtime. Syzygy Event International's laid out the area and created an elegant runway with an octagonal runway end to give models plenty of room to walk and pose. The fashion show is one of the most fun parts of the night and both humans and canines showed their personality and had fun on the runway.

On the runway, the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear apparel was provided exclusively by Tysons Galleria, where top luxurious retailers reside. Models had hair and make-up expertly done courtesy of Toka Salon & Day Spa, a top salon/spa in DC and NY. All doggie couture was organized by Wagtime; DC's premier doggie daycare, groomer, and pet boutique.

After the runway show guests mingled and enjoyed cocktails and Georgetown Cupcakes and many guests hit the dance floor while DJ Seyhan turned out the music. Guests partied till Midnight and then had the option to continue partying at the after-party.
