Hollywood Glamour Live

Sunday, February 22, 2015 - It was Oscars night and from 6pm to Midnight guests had a night of glitz at glamour at L2 Lounge in DC. It was a nice to celebrate the talent and films in the movie industry. The red carpet was out and guests were encouraged to dress up, and black-tie was optional. Produced annually by Art Soiree Productions, this Hollywood Glamour Live event brought together a lot of people and the event was done well as usual with great hospitality and decor. There was a good crowd throughout most of the night.

It's also good to know that the event benefited Luke's Wings, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle. The cameras and flashes worked non-stop to capture the moments, and I provided a lot of photo coverage for the event. There is low level lighting in L2 Lounge which gives it a lounge mood and mixed rustic and modern design with accent lighting makes the environment appealing. I used one light off-camera to capture guests. There are times when I didn't use flash and photographed with a prime lens at a wide aperture, but most of the shots were group shots and it was crowded. I mostly used a zoom lens to make sure I was able to get wide shots, yet also zoom in quickly if I needed more of a close-up shot. It was a long night, but it was a very enjoyable event for everyone.
