Actor Lamont Easter's Celebrity Red Carpet Birthday Bash

January 24, 2015 - When an actor has a birthday, you know it's likely to be a red carpet style one. I've seen Lamont Easter at events for the past few years and he's been quickly adding acting experience to his resume. Lamont has come to know a lot of people and his character, personality and talent are undoubtedly part of the reason. Guests were invited to Lamont's Birthday Bash presented by Who Are You Media. The venue was at The Donovan (formerly known as Donovan House Hotel) in DC. The event was to benefit AutismFYI.org and MTV's Meet The Benjamins.

The evening started for a lucky few (actually 15) including myself as a photographer on a "limo bus" called the Skyline Executive VIP Coach. This very coach is the same one used by such celebrities as Oprah Winfrey, Bon Jovi and the Dave Matthews Band just to name a few. It was a cool experience to be on this coach and everyone enjoyed conversations while riding around till about 9pm when we were due back at The Donovan. Of course there had to be a photo of everyone and the coach. Thanks to Tommy Long for taking us on this ride.

The birthday bash was specifically in Zentan Restaurant which adjoins The Donovan, and it didn't take long for the place to be filled with guests. WUSA's 9 Morning Anchor Mike Hydeck was a host and WPGC's 95.5 DJ STORM brought the tunes. Dr. James Benjamin from Meet The Benjamins with Brad and Kenny (benjaminbrothers.tv) spoke to the crowd.

Lamont was paired up with a professional dance instructor and danced with her at an event last year called DC's Dancing Stars Gala. That event was inspired by ABC's Dancing With The Stars and with that in mind, there was a dance performance at Lamont's bash by Sevirn-Severyn Szaplaczan and his partner Landra Vallejos. Sevirn is the international ballroom dancer who taught and prepared Kristie Alley for her appearances on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. There was also several minutes devoted to humor by nationally known Comedian/Actor Walker Hays. In the crowd were notable guest appearances of casting directors, producers, industry insiders, actors, cast and crew from local stage, film and TV productions.

Lamont's birthday was officially at Midnight, so we all sang him Happy Birthday and a beautiful cake made by ProCakes was presented. The cake represented Lamont well with acting industry cake decor and even scenes from some of his acting roles. If Lamont could have wished for anything for his birthday, it would be that everyone watch this video about autism called "My Name is David."
