The Washington Auto Show (WAS) represents the vision and technology of the auto industry and there are more than 700 new makes and models from over 42 manufacturers at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in DC. This show which is held on two floors and with twice the show length, has become the largest public show in DC. This year, the WAS is from January 23rd to February 2nd.
I have visited the Washington Auto Show for years and have enjoyed seeing all that it has to offer, even if it's just to visit to dream and have fun. It's great to be able to see the latest and greatest automobiles, and to even sit in some of them. It's also cool to see the celebrities that come through this show for appearances. I visited this show on Tuesday January 28th which was Military Tribute Day, so all active duty military and veterans can attend for free with valid military ID, or DD214 and photo ID. Throughout the show active duty military and veterans get a discount to the show, and many others get a discount too, such as students, seniors (65 and over) and first-responders.
This is a great show to visit with others. Make an afternoon or evening of it, bring your camera and take pictures, and check out all the show has to offer. There's so much to see, you might visit on two separate days to be able to see everything on both floors! I took a bunch of pictures on my visit, so I'll share a good number of photos here. Enjoy the show.
