Moulin Rouge Costume Party hosted by La Maison Française

On Friday, February 24, L2 Lounge was transformed into Le Moulin Rouge, inspired by the jukebox musical film directed, produced, and co-written by Baz Luhrmann, and starring Ewan McGregor as Christian and Nicole Kidman as Satine. It tells the story of a young, British poet/writer named Christian, who falls in love with Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge, a cabaret actress and courtesan.

Guests were thematically taken back to Paris in the 19th Century when art, literature,music and above all...LOVE ruled. The evening featured a live professional dance performance and the DJ mixing music from the musical. Photo opportunities abounded in Le Moulin Rouge, including in front of a Moulin Rouge inspired windmill and Moulin Rouge fancied heart set. L2 decked it's venue well with fine decor as usual. Bohemian inspired specialty cocktails were available and costumed guests paraded around enjoying a cinematic experience.
