The historic district of Georgetown held their
10th annual French Market, transforming their Book Hill neighborhood
into a Parisian inspired open air market with a sidewalk sale. This year
Art Soiree Productions brought a local artistic flair
to the market in the location of the TD Bank Parking Lot on 1611
Wisconsin Avenue in DC. There were live performances, arts and craft
workshops, live painting to name a few of the attractions. Whimsical
mimes, strolling musicians and arts & crafts with Alliance Francais
added to the atmosphere. The French Market was held Friday, April 19 and
Saturday, April 20 from 10 am to 5pm. There were over 35 shops, cafés,
and galleries along Wisconsin Avenue, from P Street to Reservoir Road
offered deals on clothing, art, home furnishings, French fare, and more.
It was great to see several people I know stop by and visit. More
